Hi Mark, I am a lifelong listener who has been with you since Birmingham, believe it or nuts. I would not have made it through my lows without you and Brian bringing me up in the mornings. And then you with Lynda, well, you just made it us feel like we are all OK. In retirement I enjoy listening to all the old shows (I am 71) and now your new show is a great concept. Keep on keeping on.
Hi Mark, loved the episode with Danny Bonaduce, he is sounding so much better, so full of life, I believe he really enjoyed talking with you, I have heard his talk show on KLSX he was fantastic, I caught the last few episodes when he was in Seattle, it was hard for me to hear him, like that. I appreciate you giving such great interviews
Mark, you’ve had a terrific bunch of podcasts to start out the new show. I am really looking forward to the next one.
But, I think you’re going to have to break some news to Bill Graham. With his contact with you, he has apparently contracted the dreaded “Mark Thompson disease”. That being the disease where you say some has passed away when they are actually still alive. Bill gave a “rest in peace” when mentioning USC Band Director Dr. Arthur C. Bartner. Dr. Bartner retired in 2020 from his position, but he is still alive.
Thanks for everything you do!
Are y’all ok with the hurricane and flooding??? I hate that I can’t hear an update like the good ol’ days so I have to ask instead. I hope you are well and above the flood waters! Lovin’ you! SLR66 – Kim in Chico
Hello Mark! I am in the LA area (Orange County) and I listened to the Mark & Brian show for 25 years.
I just finished your book and it was a GREAT read. I could never tell that you and Brian were burnt out on each other as you kept things professional and always funny on the air. I will be 66 this month and still miss you asking women about what size rack they have😄
I will be retiring next year and am trying to talk my other half into moving from our materialistic and rushed So Cal lifestyle to somewhere in FL as I have relatives there and have visited dozens of times over the years. People still say hello in the “real” parts of FL that haven’t been overrun by northern folks. I just love the Deep South hospitality. I know that Mayberry still exists in the Deep South.
I do have one question that you may not want to answer. My friends debated on what the radio station was compensating you in the later years. My guess was that Brian and yourself were splitting a $3M annual salary. Were we close?
I recently found your M&L podcast and tune in when I can. The show is not the same without your hot other half.
Stay healthy my friend. Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.
Just listened to Bill Graham 10 out of 10……. I have 3 homes that i have gone thru renovations on and learned from each one. He enlightened me in things i already knew (basically figured out the hard way) and things i can definitely do going forward I have a up and coming one in Sept… THANK YOU….
Suggestion for an interview — Ron White – he is a comedian, lived a long hard life, (can be a little risky in his stories) But what intrigued me the most was he is BFF’s with Dr. Phil McGraw… the two could not be more opposite. He would be hilarious … He’s not afraid to talk about his life…
Its not number 2, because I think I remember a story like you were 13 when you lost your virginity. I know you were good at baseball and softball so I am going with #1. I don’t think I ever heard a chef story so not 3. I know I am too late but I wanted to post my answer like shouting out loud “to what year is it” I’m 0-1. I picked 79! I’ll make it respectable next time.

In answer to your game, you lost your virginity at 15 in your childhood bed.
