Hey Mark. OMG. I would love to send a belated Christmas gift to the listener that provided the Linda Bennett song. That is awesome. And what about the families of all the dead people? Fuck em I guess. My favorite all time holiday song is the original Adam Sandler Channukah song but now I don’t know. Best present I will get this year. Cheers from another December-born-screwed-out-of-a-separate-present old fart. Lovin you
Episode 19…..Two things Mark. All I can think of it when you talk about putting two pecan pie slices together is Lynda saying No way fat man!!!!” And I have listened to every show that you’ve ever been involved with since the first show of Mark and Brian. I’ve been moved to tears countless times but never more than today. The love of an animal is priceless and can never be replaced when you lose your pet. As you said there’s a hole when they pass that can never be refilled. But you are right! Some animals somewhere deserves our love and devotion and we would be selfish not to give them that just because we are afraid of the pain! There’s a lot of pain in life and our pets help us through it so we need to help them! Thank you for bringing this to everyone’s attention Mark…
First and foremost, thank you for the innumerable years of entertainment – I remain supremely thankful that you have continued with the new format..! Future guest suggestion; Christian James Hand. I absolutely loved his song breakdown segments with you on Mark in the Morning. As I compose this, he is doing his final online song breakdown session ever, unfortunately, and I immediately thought of you and him in conversation about your time together and whatever plans he may have moving forward. Merry Christmas to you and the entire Thompson universe!
Like all your listeners, I too enjoy your show. The new stuff is funny, very entertaining, and the old stuff you share brings back memories. So Thanks.
Any chance you have the sound from the woman who was “exercising” while singing a Christmas carol (maybe White Christmas??), and if so will it make it to the show this week?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Tom
Hi Mark, At the very beginning of last week’s show, who is the British guy raving (or what movie is the clip from) about how he hates Christmas and just wants to have a normal beer with his mates? Thanks for all the entertainment. Please keep them coming.
Mark, absolutely great podcast. It was fantastic to hear Chuck again. All of us (your fans) will miss you till January 10. You and your family have a great Christmas and may the new year be even better. Much love, Later.
“I think I Love You.” Wow! What a stunning version of the song. Operatic. How I envision Freddy Mercury might have performed it. Thanks for sharing the music and the story behind it
The “I Think I Love You” segment was incredible. Shirley Jones, Davi’s mother, is still alive. I bet she would love it.
I also enjoyed listening to your interview with Andy. I used to listen to his podcast, “Your Artificial Friends”. There were always lots of laughs. I miss Andy.
Hi Mark, I really enjoyed listening to you and Andy. Brought back memories of The Sound days gone by. It would be great if you could get Gina and Andy on together. It’s wonderful that Andy is happy in his new job and in his new state. I still miss listening to Mark & Brian daily.
My parents had the Alaskan bed back in the 50’s. It was wonderful to jump on. Mom would let us jump while she and dad were getting ready to go to the Elks Club where my dad was the Exalted Ruler.
Congratulations to Matt & Eleni, as well as the whole Thompson family. Grandkids as you have found out, are so much fun. We’ve been blessed with 7 and the great-grandkids are even better, if that’s possible. We have a 10 year old great grandson and another due in February. Merry Christmas to the whole Thompson Family.

Please adjust your voice vs. the audio files/music volume level on the podcast. The audio files/music is way louder than your voice.
Thanks.
