Hi Mark,
Can’t believe that your guess was Suburban was in it somewhere…for what does SUV stand for….
Did you know that The Eastwood Ranch needs money for a generator, as they lost power during the fire crisis.
“We urgently need a generator.
Without reliable power, our ability to care for the animals—feeding, cleaning, administering medications, and maintaining a secure environment—is at risk. We cannot allow the well-being of these vulnerable animals to be jeopardized.”
I made a donation, no idea how much a generator costs.
Hi Mark – just wondering if you have ever watched Special Forces – the World’s Toughest Test which is on Hulu…the latest season 3 has your guy, Cam Newton, as a contestant. Thought you’d love to see him put through the ringer..thanks for all you do. Love you and your podcast. Best to Lynda.
Long time listener since early in your KLOS days. Now residing in the B’ham. I enjoy your current and past shows. Missing Linda. Tell her I said, “Hey”. I especially enjoyed Cool Stories in Music. Recently, when you are broadcasting from horse stall (studio B), it seems the lemon-tater is not doing its job. Yesterday, while driving home, I turned you up so I could hear you speak. I know you’re 69 and hearing challenged. Whenever you play a sound effect, well I can hear that! So, yesterday I’m driving home from work and Harley the ice eating dog started chewing ice. It was so f’in loud it. Startled, I swerved across three lanes of traffic. I turned him down and regained control, then I turned the radio back up to hear the rest of your show. Thank you for WHAT YOU DO!
I have an explanation why laundry detergent is locked up. It is one of the most common things shoplifted at grocery and variety stores. The reason sounds wacky, but it’s true. (I work for a decent sized grocery store chain in the upper Midwest.)
Laundry detergent, especially big name brands like Tide, can be used as a form of currency to buy drugs on the street.
Growing up in The Valley in Southern California, back when it was a cool place to live….I lived with a coke dealer. He told me that the little colored pellets in some detergents are an ingredient in the production of crystal meth. So there is someone out there that, that’s all they do it pick colored pellets out of laundry detergents for a living.
Hey, RG. Catching up on podcasts, and got to EP 17. On This Week, you mentioned Harry Nilsson. I know you hate corrections, but I think it’s important to pronounce people’s names right. You always say it as “neel-son”, but there’s no “e” in his name. It’s pronounced phonetically, just as written. Nil-sson.
M&B, M&L, MITM, D vs D…it’s all good.
Oh, and my daughter recently turned 20. She goes back as a listener to MITM. Would that be your youngest listener?
Good morning Bro, Your Podcast was great to hear, as always. I may not be able to listen on Friday, but I will always listen. You and your family have been in my life since 1987 and will be forever. I love you all. ♥️
I hate to say it, but your last 5-6 shows have become almost unlistenable to me because your volumes are varying so much! If your talking then go to an audio clip or when you’re speaking with a guest, I’ll hear you but not your guest, or I’ll hear you but then you go to an audio clip and it comes out blarring about 3 times louder than your talking. Today I was listening to EP 24 and I was starting to think you were doing that trick you and Brian did back in the 90’s when you kept making the program quieter so stupid replacable listeners would crank up their car radios, then you’d blast them! You seemed to keep getting quieter and quieter.
I have a feeling this might have to do with your CA studio. Cause I don’t remember your Lake Norman studio doing this. And I remember you getting a “Lemontater” when you first set it up.
Anyway, just had to let you know, cause I enjoy the show too much to have to stop listening.
Hi brother Mark! My husband’s birthday is today! Trombone and Mr. Rogers singing would be great. Brad is 62 today! Mine is 10/23. The Adam Nimoy interview was really good. Catching up slowly but surely.
Thanks for the laughs.
Connie
Mark, I think I know the origin of your obsession with “animals eating” noises. Look, being the comedy guy you are… did it begin with Buggs Bunny eating carrots? Could be.

Enjoy the show.
Observation: volume of your 1/24 show seemed much lower than usual (or maybe I need to recharge my hearing aids).
That’s it. Thanks.

I agree. I mentioned the same issue with the varying sound levels in the survey.

RG: I remember your curiosity and love for hearing and watching animals eat. Here’s Rico, the porcupine, at the Cincinnati Zoo, eating an ear of corn.
