Had lunch Thursday with my friend Melinda outside Kansas City. We hadn’t seen each other in about 35 years.
In the conversation, we talked about listening to M&B. Mark, do you remember going with Matt to Knott’s Berry Farm and learning how to milk a cow? Melinda is the friend that taught you guys how to do that!

Mark, obviously by now, you saw that Gene Hackman has passed away…Can you give us your take on his career and also do you have any memories of him being on the Mark and Brian or the Mark in the Morning Shows? I was an avid listener of both shows, and I don’t recall hearing him interviewed on either show…Looks like he won’t be on this podcast either…Boy, was he a great actor…

Hi Mark you ignorant slut. I always thought Lynda was the smart one and you were the stupid one. The last two comments of mine you read you pronounced my last name correctly to my surprise. I only had 2 teachers do that one a gym teacher in high school and an English teacher in college. I knew I was fucked in that English class On another subject. Matt counting the silver wear is a good idea. My wife has some how lost 3 steak knives. Love the show bye for now

wow! Mark, seriously, what a great interview last week with Darren!!! I listen to Smartness and other podcasts and that was truly an hour of gold that was so outstanding and way better than any of the star-studded interviews I have heard in a long time! On a side note, one of the podcasts I listen to is Morbid and one of the hosts on there has a voice who reminds me so much of Katie – and the cussing while they talk about ghosts is entertaining! Is Katie still using her lovely voice someplace? Congrats on the grandkids!!! I know you have your hands full with all of the grands, but if you have downtime you should check out your old Alabama stomping grounds on the basketball court – Auburn is #1 and Alabama has been up there, too!!!
