Hey Mark,
I’m 32, so I may or may not be your youngest listener, but I’ve been tuning in since 2002, listening to Mark & Brian every morning on KLOS during school drives with my mom. Those mornings became a daily ritual—part laughter therapy, part life lesson. You brought a lot of lightness to our mornings, but what I really treasure when I listen back to the episodes these days are those deeper, more human moments. You guys had a special way of blending heart and humor, especially when discussing tough topics and tragedies.
It was never just about the laughs to many of us listeners, though there were plenty of those—it was about real connection. Every now and then, I dive back into the archive, and it still resonates. When I started dating my wife-to-be, I was pleasantly surprised to hear she was a fan too, having become a Mark & Brian listener in the 2010s! And I have to say that your new show, What You Do, is such a funny, informative, and worthy extension of what you’ve always excelled at. I’m glad you’ve been a part of the podcast medium. Thanks for all the memories!
